Dear Crank Caller Esteemed Member,
Thank you for your inquiry regarding
the completely outrageous, and perhaps illegal, actions currently
being undertaken by your employer and/or your AFM Local Officer(s).
While we look into the matter, we’d
like you to know why we're called the “Symphonic SERVICES” Division,
not the “Coddling the Local Officer” Division, not the “We'll Get
Right Back to You” Division, not the “Leave Us the Hell Alone” Division.
That's because we're here to SERVE
you. Serve and service have the same root. They may have the same
leaves as well, but if so, that would be another understaffed AFM
department.
OUR department is about service. And
that's why you called us.
And that's why we promised to look
into your complaint and call you back. Right away.
And we would do just that, but the
AFM President, Tom Lee, just gave our director, Janice Galassi, a
new job where she is far less likely to piss off your favorite local
officer.
Of course, doing her job the right
way in that new position would piss off local officers, too. Maybe
even more so than if SSD called you back and gave you straight answers
to your questions.
But our former director’s NEW department
doesn't actually have much of a budget, and the staff is even smaller than ours, so there's no chance at
all of that happening.
